Welcome to Teen Parent South
What is the Teen Parent Program:
- The Teen Parent Program is a State mandated program designed to meet the needs of expectant youth and teen parents by providing an opportunity for pregnant or parenting teens to receive child care services while providing an academic course of study that advances each student’s progress towards earning a high school diploma.
- Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive and encouraging environment for pregnant and parenting teens to complete their high school education. While being able to bond with their child, learn appropriate parenting techniques, and proper child development.
- Teen Parent South offers academic alternatives, child care, and supportive services to ensure a secure future for the student and child.
Our Onsite Daycare:
- The daycare on our campus is Easterseals which operates several child development centers in partnership with the School District of Hillsborough County for teen parents while they are attending classes. The program is designed for infant and toddlers six weeks to three years of age.
Our goal is to maximize each child’s development, so they are prepared to enter kindergarten successfully and need no special interventions. This is done through a developmentally appropriate curriculum and environment, warm and caring adult/child interactions, therapeutic services, family support services when necessary, and a team approach that emphasizes independence and family strengths.
Easter Seals Teen Parent South is a highly qualified child care facility. This center is 5 Star accredited by Quality Counts for Kids program, Nationally accredited (NAC), and a Gold Seal of quality care provider.
