First Responder: . Description: The First Responder program teaches students emergency lifesaving skills.  These skills are learned through textbooks as well a hands on approach. Skills Learned The skills learned include: *  Basic treatment of shock and bleeding *  Basic common emergency treatment *  Adult, child, and infant CPR emergency lifesaving skills that include patient assessment                  First Responders: SCCC        Under the direction of their instructor, students in First Responder class work in an ambulance simulator located in the classroom as a hands on approach Students with their instructor Mr.Van Tisdale participate with a live presentation by Aero Med.
